Ons het baie lekker getoer en dit was verblywend om te arriveer by ons bestemmings sonder enige probleme met besprekings.Die Lodges het van ons geweet en ons het 'n goeie ontvangs gehad. |
| We visited Nata Lodge for dinner in sept 2011 and than overnight at Northgate Lodge. The service at Nata Lodge was excellent. The rooms at Northgate Lodge were as good as it gets but their service was not nealry as efficient as Nata Lodge's. Both lodges can be recommended but I will stay at Nata Lodge in future. The Makgadgadigadipans was as magnifisant and beautiful as always. Andries Erwee 2 Sept 2011 |
| The accommodation in luxury tents is good and brand new. The lodge was damaged in a fire and was rebuilt. There are fire places outside the tents but the undergrowth was not cleared around the fire places and it just looked too dangerous to make a fire near so much dry grass and wood! We make stir-fry and drink lots of red wine. It is another very cold night and with the open air showers it took real courage to shower! The next morning the ice cubes we left outside were frozen and the water in the pipes was frozen. Even the water in the basin was frozen. Elsa Van Zyl |
NATA you can DEFINITELY mark as a VERY good prospect for any traveller to stop over and even stay for some time longer! Spike henning |
Nata Lodge – we were very sad at this stage, because we were on our way home. We enjoyed the pool in the heat there and enjoyed the stay there although the campsites itself are not wonderful. The new ablutions are beautiful, they just need to improve the campsites a bit. Horn We booked in at Northgate lodge, Nata, for the night. One of a number of comfortable Inn’s on the major crossroad to the main tourist attractions. Our room was tastefully decorated and air-conditioned. People were having a sun-downer there, but we decided to walk closer and as we approach the waterline the pink layer became more and more defined – thousands, no, millions of Greater and Lesser Flamingo. For the time being they’ve reached the end of their journey. For a few precious minutes we stood there breathing in the moment while the sun sunk away beyond the horizon and the all the colours melted together and the noise faded out. The we walked back, carefully, not to get stuck in the wet clay. I picked up two pink and white feathers… Judy Ludwick Sept 2011 |
